"Born and raised in the Buccaneer Port of Tampa Bay, I developed a love of Sharks, Sea and all things Pyrate at an early age. Me ventures have taken me from Tampa Bay to the Voodoo Haunted Shores of Haiti to the Treasure Laden Islands of the Florida Keys to the High-Toned-and-Fancy-To-Do Shoals of Carolina and back. In the beginnings of my Buccaneering Career, my ship was wrecked in a storm and as I sank down to Davy Jones, a massive female Great White Shark came swimming up from the depths. I thought sure she be the angel of death come for me, but she grabbed me by my Pirate Fashions Treasure Belt and swam me back to the shores of me beloved Tampa Bay. Now I roam the Seas Pillaging, Plundering and sharing about Shark Conservation. Hence me motto, Raise the Black - Save Sharks - Repeat!"

Pyrates 101 be an informal Q&A talk about the Golden Age of Piracy from the Buccaneer Age through Bartholomew Roberts, the last great Pyrate of the Golden Age. We'll also set the record straight about Tampa Bay's most famous Pirate, Jose Gaspar. This be for kids and adults from middle school age and up, as Pyrate History tends to bore you
Pyrates 101 be an informal Q&A talk about the Golden Age of Piracy from the Buccaneer Age through Bartholomew Roberts, the last great Pyrate of the Golden Age. We'll also set the record straight about Tampa Bay's most famous Pirate, Jose Gaspar. This be for kids and adults from middle school age and up, as Pyrate History tends to bore younger lads and lasses. Be ye warned, there be some weapons discussion and harmless, mostly, interactive demonstrating using a BOB dummy. Pyrates 101 canst be done indoors or outdoors, weather permitting.
NOTE: Pyrates 101 involves real and replica weapons. Not available to schools, non-permissive environments and such. Without weapons, it be a bit boring Yarrr!

I not be Captain John Shark because it be a cool or scary name, I LOVE Sharks and I be an avid Shark Conservationist. For over a decade I have paddleboarded with Bull Sharks all over Tampa Bay and currently I SWIM with Bull Sharks in Jupiter every chance I get.
